Digital World and DUBturbo
Not only is it a digital worl
d, but it is increasingly a virtual world. The proliferation of things like digital audio players, e-books and streaming services like Netflix are starting to crowd out CDs, books and DVDs. This is the future, as there does not seem to be anyway to turn back. There has been nostalgia for old technology like records, but mostly these are treated as curiosities at best by the younger generations. Digital music production technology such as DUBturbo has followed a similar path. You no longer have to buy bulky and expensive equipment to put in a studio to produce music. Software can provide musicians with digital audio workstations complete with audio interface hardware and a virtual mixing console. These are manipulated either with a mouse or a keyboard. The standard layout or common functionality of these features allows artists familiar with conventional recording equipment to transition easily to the software applications. This way they can concentrate on making music instead of focusing on learning how to use unfamiliar technology that would get in the way
